4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
1 Corinthians 12:4-11 (King James Version)
Are you satisfied with the work you do?
Ever wondered if you could be doing something else?
Are you serving God, or the lords of the earth?
What lies in your soul?
After eight months of being a born-again Christian, my work has become clearer, and I merely allow the Holy Spirit of God to guide me each day.
I have done work, in many diverse industries, even if I had not become an Architect.
And now, I embrace my true gift(s).
I've always known in my child-like heart I was a writer, a researcher, and consequently a teacher.
Not in the academic sense, of course, for I shunned academia.
My feet are firmly planted on earth, with my ear against God's heart, listening to His instructions alone, making sure I don't miss a beat.
I also skip and hop, holding tight to Jesus' hands, like the child I forever will be, by His side, and looking up to Him, with adoration in my heart, and eyes.
All I learned from family, friends, relatives, work, and school -- life in general -- has been perfected by God alone, for He knows I desire to be in His service.
He created me for a purpose, and my job was to find, or remember, that purpose.
The verse above shows clearly that we all serve the LORD in many ways, in many capacities, given the gifts and talents we have.
Well, that is if you have accepted Christ in your heart, then you will really want to serve the LORD.
I have, for over eight months now, and have experienced joy, peace, humility, and contentment -- even greater creativity -- than I have ever had.
God knew (because I kept praying to Him), that I dearly wanted to know EVERYTHING about Him.
I needed to do that, for I wanted God to be my ONE and ONLY foundation.
Think about it.
If your foundation is God, and God alone, how can you go wrong?
How can the work you do, not serve man, as God wants you to?
Your work will be clear, valuable, and powerful, for it is powered by Spirit.
You will not waste other people's time, nor hurt them with your thoughtless, and useless creations.
Your work is God made visible, and felt, on earth.
You dance to the beat of God's Drum, and you are in complete harmony with the Lord, activating the rhythm He created in you.
Surely you feel that -- of being "off" in this world, where you know you could be doing something more, but you're not.
Or that you wish to, but people stop you.
Most probably, you're afraid to take that LEAP of faith.
This is the only life I have, and know.
I might as well give it my best shot, under the Grace and Guidance of the LORD.
After I followed Jesus, I dropped everything that was not of Him.
I am always for all, or nothing.
I don't skirt issues.
I always go straight for the "jugular".
It's either God, or nothing.
That's how you let go of addictions, and wrong thinking.
You quit, cold turkey.
And after that, the "healing" will begin.
I have always loved God, and don't wish to waste His time, even as He has eternity.
In all probability, I'm doing my best not to waste your time, and mine.
For learning to become real, you must apply it.
So now, I apply my new SCRIPTURE learning to every aspect of my life and work.
They have to fit God's picture.
Today is really the best day of our lives.
Our lives are precious, for it came from God.
He gave us the Breath of Life, and we are to make use of all the gifts and talents He gave us.
God made you perfectly as you are, with everything you need, right in your heart.
And so, I continue to dance to the beat of God's Happy Drum, and we dance a Happy Dance!
And we create many blogs that reflect my many interests and learning.
